This is a personal project, created to learn, familiarisemyself with, and develop skills in Articulate Storyline.
THE PROCESS
After many years as a language teacher and content creator, I am familiar with the language learning process. Therefore, I storyboarded this project with the idea of giving some tips on how to improve a language learning routine.
I developed a school-based storytelling project with one teacher and three students as the main characters. Each student represents a weak point that needs to be addressed.
Through interactive activities, users can discover the students’ potential and weaknesses, identify with them, and learn how to improve and strengthen their own learning strategies.
THE RESULT
This project hasn’t been used by anyone yet. Therefore, I haven’t collected any feedback to help me identify what works and what doesn’t.
However, as a personal result, I can guarantee 100% what I’ve learned and the technical skills I’ve acquired.
Apart from the basic features that other platforms also offer (for example, inserting texts, images, videos, audio, buttons and links, animations, transitions, etc.), I went deeper into what is at the core of Storyline. I learned about layers, triggers, and states.
I did a full immersion, trying to absorb as much as I could, which gave me a real boost and, at the same time, made me realise how much I still have to learn. Still, I can’t wait to have the opportunity to keep working and creating with this platform.
